Privacy Policy

1. Data we collect

Account: your name, email address and Google account identifier, received from Google when you sign in (via Firebase Authentication).

Transactions: orders, amounts, payment status and the billing country you choose. Card and bank details are handled by the payment provider; we never receive card numbers or PINs.

Usage: reading/watching progress, bookmarks and library, so you can continue on any device.

Technical: server logs (IP address, browser, time of request) kept for security and troubleshooting.

2. How we use it

To give you access to what you bought or subscribed to, process payments, provide support, prevent fraud and keep the Service secure. We do not sell your data and do not use advertising trackers.

We send news and offers by email only if you tick the consent box. You can withdraw it any time on your Account page, and every change is recorded. Transaction emails (order and payment receipts) are still sent because the service needs them.

3. Who processes it

Google (Firebase Authentication and Google Cloud hosting, Singapore region) and a licensed payment provider regulated by Bank Indonesia (payments). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security commitments; some processing may take place outside Indonesia.

4. Cookies

We use only cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms (security tokens). Reading preferences such as font size are stored in your browser.

We count visits anonymously to improve the service: which pages are opened, where visits come from (for example WhatsApp or Google), and the type of device. No cookie is used for this and no IP address is stored; a visitor cannot be recognised from one day to the next. Your browser remembers where you first came from (for example WhatsApp) for 30 days, and an account’s first source is recorded, so we know which promotion helps. Reading progress is also summarised without names to learn which stories interest readers most. Our reports only contain totals, never individuals.

5. Retention

Account and library data are kept while your account is active. Order and payment records are kept as long as required by law (including tax and accounting obligations). Server logs are kept for a limited period.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or withdraw consent, by emailing hello@syntories.com. Deleting an account removes access to purchased works.
